7 ways to have an Abundant christmas this year
As you are probably all too familiar with, when Christmas comes around it is time to start stocking up on yummy treats. My family tradition usually involves massive indulgence with every taste imaginable. Sweets, savory, cakes and fruits, salads of every kind and strange and interesting beverages, lots of festive cheer, family members akwardly getting along perhaps arguing over which meal to serve up first or what the best way is to put the pan in the oven – but the most common thing I notice at Christmas gathering – be they my family or other gatherings is the emphasis on the food and often uncomfortable painful Santa belly that generally always follows.
So here is 7 ways to get the most out of this Christmas – how to stay light, alive and flowing:
1. Make room in your belly before the festive eating begins
There’s nothing worse than feasting your eyes on all the yummy treats available and just not having the room to eat. So don’t arrive at the upcoming Christmas breakfast, lunch and dinners with an already full suitcase – clear the already backed up matter in your Colon and make room for an extra few pounds of decadence. Why feel full before you need to? Make room for that extra plateful of Christmas pudding by evacuating food that has been blocked up inside you since July. Believe it or not – the average person has 15 Lbs of excess fecal matter in their colon at any given time… “fif-teen-pounds” and some of it is years old!! Potentially last years Christmas dinner is still in there – so start your Colon Cleanse Now
“During Thanksgiving week, the food at my brother’s house was so good I gained 10 lbs…as soon as I arrived home, I used the Tolman Colon Cleanse for two days followed by 1 day of drinking the Tolman Rainbow Juice Formula and lost 14 lbs…Thanks for offering such a pleasant way for me to get back in the groove…” ~ Samuel Kiwasz (community synergist/educator)
2. Serve up a treat that keeps on giving
Christmas doesn’t have to be an unhealthy overload of yummy treats which we have to be worried about eating. Imagine the smiles on their faces as you serve up a bowl of Abundance and let everybody know that they can eat as much as they like and not worry about the weight. Not only is Abundance a delicious whole food it can be the perfect compliment to dessert and comes with all the right fibers that will keep everybody flowing this season. Grab some and put in a stocking
3. Go for a walk in between meals
After a huge feast the last thing most people feel like doing is going for a walk – but all the more reason you should. A lot of people simply pass out as soon as the Santa belly kicks in but this year, keep spirits high and take everybody for a walk. Not only will it help digest the food its an awesome way to connect with your loved ones and just enjoy the simple things. Being together. Moving together. Importantly though, if the only thing you are exercising is your digestive muscles from all the food being eaten – you’re in for trouble around the corner :) So give your body something to do with all the energy you take in and avoid needless indigestion and weight gain.
4. Drink lots of water
With all the beverages going around at this time of year to help people unwind and get stimulated we can often forget to keep our water intake up. Remember the greatest gift you can give your body is a good amount of water and it will help to keep all those treats moving through your body. Another tip however is to not drink too much if at all while you are actually eating as it can put out the digestive flames in your belly. After a meal, give your body some time to generate the proper acids to digest your food and then have a good serving of water.
5. Be present
The most awesome gift anybody can ever give is the gift of presence. I know that in times in my life when I haven’t been able to afford gifts for my friends and family I still feel like I am Santa Claus bringing the gifts to the party: the gift of presence. You know it is such a time of connection and it doesn’t really happen enough to just come together with people you love and take the time to listen to one another. What is incredible is that quite often people feel they have really felt loved and connected with somebody is when they felt they were listened to. People will say “he’s a great conversationalist” and yet all he did was ask questions and was available to listen. And people remember that and the memory it leaves lasts so much longer than a ‘present’ that will probably go out of fashion by next season. So think about what gifts people give that last more than a season, like tenderness, listening, caring, compassion, understanding, truth, non-judgement, authenticity… these will be the best gifts you can give people that will be remembered forever and although they might not be as cool or popular at first and harder to give than an iPod or Gift Voucher for some store – I guarantee they will be cherished.
6. Breath
Long and slow breaths in, and out. This one goes hand in hand with water. Its the gift you just can’t stop giving your body! And did you know this simple act of breathing helps move food through your stomach and digestive system? And that it helps to move the acids around for digestive? Or that it helps to keep your body electrified and energized? Now you do. Remember, scientists have spent billions of dollars in research to discover that if you want to stay alive and healthy – you’ve got to keep breathing!
7. Give the gift of knowledge and health
The Farmacist Desk Reference in many homes is considered a family heir loom that people use when wanting to understand what a certain fruit is good for, or what a certain symptom means and how to truly heal it. The FDR is often the first thing people reach for or if they just want to learn about something entirely new. It is the perfect companion to the healthy and inspired mind that would be a true treasure underneath the tree. As a special Christmas offer to you, if you order an FDR before December 25th you will receive a FREE DVD set ‘D-Talkz’ (5 DVD’s valued at $199) with the remarkable Don Tolman. I can see it already.. Christmas day comes around and this 2 Volume book is unwrapped. Throughout the course of the day as people are snacking on certain foods they are referring to different pages actually learning about what they put into their bodies. Not only are you giving the gift of insight, but the gift of good health that will help so many people for years to come combined with an age old tradition of coming together around new information and conversation.
What do you do to keep spirits high? How can you help others to feel optimistic and grateful for what they have? Whats your family’s secret to health and longevity or just having a good time? We’d love to hear from you. Share your tips for the festive season in the comments below!
