As it turns out, “It's” human - The three of us brainstorming at Magic Apple Cafe (the walls are filled with stylish and inspiring affirmations about vegetarian food - very cool).

For the past two weeks Tyler and Rachelle have been touring Oz with the aim of turning up the heat on Australian customs and it has been a real treat for me, hanging out with these two love birds as I have been working remotely with them since May. So being face-to-face with them rather than face-to-emoticons, and being updated in person, rather than facebook status updates and skype video conferences has been refreshing and real. They were also not sure if I was a human or a robot. As it turns out—Its alive!

So whats new? As some of you know, a few of our orders to the land of endless white sunny beaches and life-saving men in bikini briefs were being incinerated randomly because our Abundance contained living ingredients. Duh, right? Initially the solution Customs offered was simple “Just cook it before sending it over”. Obviously.

As we were sitting here at Magic Apple on the Gold Coast—a newly revamped vegetarian food and juice cafe by the beach—brainstorming ways to make everything work better for everyone, Rachelle got the call and proudly announced with an elated but moderated tone “We got the import license!” which means we can now bi-pass whole orders being turned to ash at the shipping gates.

Why the elation? Australia is home to Rachelle and myself originally, and so bringing the food into these waters is important so we can help our friends and family here, but also because Australians are our second largest market. Rachelle’s charm somehow managed to get the Aussie Customs to let us ship in our food without frying and spraying it with poisons. It was high fives all round.

As I high fived Tyler and Rachelle while sipping back my L.S.D (Latte Soy Dandelion, quite a nice coffee substitute if you haven’t tried it), Tyler immediately wanted to do what he does when he’s feeling great and that is basically give stuff away and party.
